Carlos Angueira, M.S., LPC
I have learned that this life journey can consist of many challenges, and it can be overwhelming trying to approach things alone. It can be emotionally taxing, disrupt balance, and trigger past experiences we have endured. Even things that seem simple can create hardships, and reveal some of the unhealthy coping behaviors we use to deal with them. I want to partner with you to help unpack the things that keep you stuck, and face those challenges together. My mission is to join you by creating a safe space to conquer life’s challenges and find joy again. Whether it’s to build self-esteem, improve your interpersonal relationships or to feel like yourself again, we can collaborate to help you meet your needs.
My Experience Carlos Angueira
I began my journey in the mental health field as a case manager for a home health mental health agency. I worked with individuals who dealt with feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship problems or struggling with lifespan issues. My journey then lead me to working with children within the foster system. My passion is to help people during the various stages, circumstances, and situations that people face throughout life and on a daily basis.
My Education
I received my bachelor’s degree from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas with a double major in Political Science and Psychology in 2006. In 2007 I attended Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas and obtained my Master of Science degree in Family and Marriage Therapy. I am licensed by the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
